RF Assure Detection Mat

The RF Assure Detection Mat contains a radiolucent (x-ray compatible) antenna in a gel pad. The reusable mat is placed on the OR table on top of the table pad and under the sterile drapes.

The RF Assure™ Detection Mat helps to:

• Reduce the chance for human error with one-button automatic scanning and doesn't interrupt OR workflow
• Validate sponge count ensuring no sponges are left behind
• Quickly locate missing sponges to reduce OR time, limit anesthesia time and reduce unnecessary x-rays
• Reduce the risk of retained sponges during "No time to count" trauma cases
• Limit staff exposure to biologic hazardous materials with reduced handling of soiled sponges
• Reduce disposable waste by being fully reusable
